Authentica Tours

We had an excellent one-day Bourgogne tour with Max as our guide. Even though it was a rainy day, he made the experience wonderful by intentionally taking detours so we could admire beautiful villages and châteaux from the comfort of the car. He was also very thoughtful in handling our umbrellas—keeping them in the trunk and preparing them for us whenever needed. Throughout the journey, Max shared so much about the region, French culture, and history, which made the tour both enjoyable and informative. His professionalism and attention to detail made a big difference. Highly recommend Max if you are visiting Bourgogne!

We were staying in Basel for only a few days with another couple and had limited time to plan a day trip to Burgundy for wine tasting. We appreciated that there was a tour available (just days before our trip) that provided transportation and a guide for a tasting experience. We caught a morning train to Dijon where we met Max for an all day Passion tour including two wineries and two hours for lunch in Beaune. It was a very hot day, but the tour van was air conditioned and comfortable, and Max provided us all with plenty of bottled water. Max was a great guide- he kept the conversation going with information not only about the vineyards and wines but also the local area and culture. He was very knowledgeable and easy to talk to. He was also a great driver, keeping us all safe and comfortable for the journey between Dijon and Beaune (I was worried about getting car sick, but it was not an issue). I really enjoyed that he took us to see the vineyard plots of 3 wines that we tasted, so that we had a genuine "farm to table" experience. I could not have asked for a better Burgundy day trip- thank you Max!

We had a great tour of the burgundy wine region with Max! He was very knowledgeable and made the day very enjoyable. We tried a lot of delicious wine, and the small bus tour was a great was to see the region. Max even gave us some helpful tips for the rest of our stay in Dijon!

The small group format and beautiful Burgundy scenery made for a pleasant day, and our first winery stop at Domaine Pillot-Henry was a true highlight that was intimate, authentic, and memorable. However, I left wishing the tour had been more educational. The focus was more on "experiencing" the wine than learning about the region or production, and translation from the winemakers was minimal. Lunch recommendations also didn’t work out for me (budget concerns) so I’d suggest researching your own. If you’re looking for a light, relaxed tasting day, this may suit you; if you want more in-depth wine knowledge, you might be left wanting more as I did.

Our Authentica Burgundy wine tour was exceptional in every way. The trip was well planned and our two wine tastings were both incredible, and in different ways. They complemented each other, giving us a broader understanding of the wines of Burgundy. Our guide, Stefan, was friendly, a wealth of knowledge, and spoke good English. This tour was a fantastic experience for us and we highly recommend!

Our full-day tour exceeded all expectations! The tastings were wonderful-with at least 6 bottles per tasting (2). The time in Beaune was just right for lunch and a quick walk-about. And our guide Joachim was incredibly knowledgeable . He exuded enthusiasm and did an amazing job making sure that we understood the region and its wines. It was truly a spectacular day . . . A lifetime memory!

Excursion très agréable, avec une dégustation de vins qui a été l'occasion de rencontrer un vigneron très pédagogue et de bénéficier de nombreuses informations et explications intéressantes. Le parcours du vignoble de la Côte de Beaune a permis de mieux comprendre sur le terrain la configuration des lieux et de profiter d'informations complémentaires. Le guide, Maxime, a été très avenant et serviable et le véhicule très confortable.
